Plans and credits
Each plan gives you a set number of credits at the start of every month. A credit is about an hour of the team’s work. We size each request in credits before we start, and you can see the cost on your board.
Unused credits carry over to the next month once. Credits still unused after that expire. Credits have no cash value and can’t be refunded or moved to someone else.
You can buy extra credits at $110 each, or move up a plan at any time. A move up starts at your next billing date unless we agree otherwise.
Billing
Plans are billed monthly, in advance, in US dollars. If a payment is late, we can pause work until it’s paid.
One-off projects, like a brand identity, a full website or an app, are quoted on their own. We ask for 50% before we start and 50% on delivery.
Shoots are quoted on their own. You cover travel and any costs for the location, crew or props.
Minimum term and cancelling
Plans have a three-month minimum. After that they run month to month, and you can cancel with 14 days’ written notice before your next billing date.
Your first month is a pilot. If it isn’t right for you, tell us before your second billing date and the plan ends after the first month.
We can end a plan with 14 days’ notice. If we do, we’ll finish requests already in progress or refund the credits for them.
How requests work
Your plan sets how many requests we work on at once. Turnaround times on our site start when a request is clear and we have everything we need from you.
Each request includes two rounds of changes. Further changes, or a change of direction after we’ve started, may use more credits. We’ll tell you before they do.
You’re responsible for the copy, facts, photos, footage and files you send us, and for having the right to use them.
Who owns the work
Once a request or project is paid for, you own the final files we deliver for it. Working files, early concepts you didn’t choose, and our own tools and templates stay ours unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Fonts, stock images, music and other third-party material keep their own licences. Where a licence needs to be in your name, we’ll tell you.
We may show finished work in our portfolio and on social media. If you’d rather we didn’t, tell us and we won’t.
Confidentiality
We keep your private information, plans and files confidential, and only share them with the people on our team who need them to do your work.
Liability
We do our work with care, but we can’t promise particular business results, such as sales, followers or rankings.
As far as the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim. We aren’t liable for indirect losses, such as lost profit or lost data.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute goes to the courts of Ontario, in Toronto.
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Changes don’t affect a month you’ve already paid for.
