The brief

Imams send in the work their stipend depends on, like a Jumuah topic, a community visit or a medical claim. Staff review it, approve it and pay against it.

The problem

The web portal wasn’t on IDP’s design system, and there was no phone app at all. Many imams work in Swahili, Chichewa or Arabic.

What we did

We designed the phone app from scratch and reskinned the web app without moving anything, so the developers only had a theme to apply. Imams now see where they stand each month, staff open on a queue of what needs review, and every screen is drawn for right to left as well.

How it landed

The developers are building it from the Figma file and a working slice in code.
