The brief

The London Garden is a volunteer-run community garden in Waltham Forest where people grow food, sew and build things. It needed a brand, and its website needed replacing.

The problem

The old site was a hacked WordPress install with 36 plugins, a shop nobody used and pages of theme demo text. Changing anything meant asking someone else.

What we did

We drew the logo over seven rounds, from a first sketch to one simple wooden arch, and carried it onto cards, a tote, a T-shirt and a sign. Then we built a new site from scratch, and one admin app for the organiser: sign-ups, events, pages, forms, photos and a notice bar, with every change undoable.

How it landed

The new site went live on 3 October 2026 and the old WordPress came down the same day. The organiser runs the whole thing from her phone.
